Rachelle Jones Smith is a former high school newspaper and yearbook kid with a lengthy background in journalism and photography.
A Gar-Field High School graduate, she was managing editor of [formerly named] Indian Echoes yearbook and News editor of the hyphen newspaper. Jones Smith went on to study communication at Seton Hall University, with public relations and print news focus. At UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, she studied magazine writing and photojournalism, the latter of which she earned the Susan Meiselas Prize for Excellence in Photojournalism.
